While there are over 800 e-waste collection points islandwide, public awareness and proper disposal practices remain low.
To mark International E-Waste Day 2025, WMRAS and ALBA E-Waste organised an E-Waste Recycling Bin Design Competition to inspire the younger generation to recycle e-waste responsibly.
At the International E-waste Day 2025 event on 12 October 2025, ALBA E-Waste unveiled the 1,000th collection point with a specially designed bin. The winning design, submitted by Lee Yi Xuan, features a vibrant, comic-style artwork with illustrated electronic devices in a mix.
This specially-designed e-bin will be placed at Heartbeat@Bedok until February 2026, and subsequently placed at different locations every quarter.
