As part of ALBA E-waste‘s effort to improve the overall recycling rate of e-waste in Singapore and provide a more holistic solutions to the residents within Singapore, ALBA E-waste will now provide a Free-of-charge service island-wide to all type of residential estates on the collection for Large Household Appliances (ie. Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Dryers, Televisions); with the terms and conditions set fore as listed in Annex B, according to the different residential type.
Booking will be open from 1st January 2025 onwards.
The aim for this new service is to encourage more residents in disposing of their unwanted /non-functional Large Household Appliances properly through the Producer Responsibility Scheme and provide an additional scheme for residents to choose from when disposing them. From January 2025 onwards, residents can dispose of their unwanted / non-functional Large Household Appliances through the following avenues;
- Through Retailer’s 1-for-1 take-back of similar product when the consumer purchases a new unit (Existing Scheme),
- Through the bulky waste disposal service offered by Town councils (Existing Scheme), and
- Free-Of-Charge Collection of Large Household Appliances by ALBA E-waste (Additional Scheme).
The Free-of-Charge disposal service of Large Household Appliances will be based on the terms & conditions as listed in Annex B, which collection will be made through booking of available slots and collection will be made on weekdays.
