
The award recognises students who demonstrate leadership in responsible e-waste recycling and student engagement through driving impactful and measurable intiatives.
The award aims to:
- Encourage students to develop responsible e-waste recycling habits
- Recognise students that drive measurable e-waste collection and awareness
- Inspire youth-led action and innovation in e-waste recycling
- Promote long-term environmental responsibility in school communities
Submission period: 1 July – 31 August 2026
There are 2 categories:
- Primary (Team of 4)
- Secondary and Tertiary (Individual)
One winner from each category will win an award and $500 worth of vouchers!
Winners will be notified by 30 September 2026 and will be awarded at the ALBA International E-Waste Day event on 10 October 2026 (Saturday) at Kampung Admiralty.
Documents required for submission:
- ✅ Application Form (with student and teacher details)
- ✅ 500-Word Write-Up detailing the student’s initiatives
- ✅ Supporting photos / videos / campaign materials
- ✅ Collection Data (if available)
- ✅ Testimonials / Endorsements (optional)
Judging Criteria:
1. E-Waste Collection
Demonstrated measurable e-waste collection efforts
Number of collection initiatives organised
Participation rates among students / staff
2. Student Engagement & Awareness
Educational efforts for students and the community.
Eg. Collaterals designed to educate students, friends, family or the community
3. Creativity
Creative approaches to driving participation – originality of ideas, interactive engagement methods, gamification, etc.
4. Community Impact
Impact beyond the school community, such as Parent engagement, Neighbourhood outreach, partnerships with organisations
